Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I had been working on the St Mary’s building where Bonnie worked for a few months. My shift was 6PM to 9PM cold calling. As I arrived Bonnie was leaving. We would say hello. Until one day she approached me and asked what I did for a living, and I told her. She handed me her card and encouraged me to come visit her at her office. I visited her the next day, and within two weeks I was a staffing representative for Manpower, her company. I visited many manufacturing plants, including New Flyer. She was a natural amongst people. I still review that visit in my head, and the value that that had in my career later on. I went on to do what Bonnie taught me to do. It has been 12 years since that happened and I have been a headhunter since and have traveled the world doing so. Without Bonnie's magic touch I wouldn’t have become who I am today. I read on here that she would’ve gone out in style, and I would like to second that. She was someone with a bright personality, I don’t recall having ever an argument with her, I recall riding in her white Pontiac, her well dressed and always with big dreams. Which she seemed to materialize always. - Posted by: Allen Ortega (Bonnie was my boss) on: May 09, 2020

  • My deepest condolences goes out to the family. I'm so sorry I missed her celebration of life. I spoke to Bonnie a few months before her passing and I guess I really didn't understand how sick she really was. I'm very grateful that I did get a chance to speak to her a couple of times before her passing since I haven't spoken to her in quite some time. Bonnie was a wonderful woman who I'm sure went out in style. My thoughts and prayers are with her girls and grandkids since she spoke about them all of them so often. - Posted by: Lianne Tetlock (Friend and co-worker) on: Oct 16, 2015
