ADELAIDE HAIKO It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Adelaide Haiko (nee Szengera) on June 9, 2015 after a brief illness. She had just celebrated her 90th birthday in April with family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband William on July 27, 2014. Adelaide is survived by her sons Gary (Maryanne), Robert (Joyce), and her grandchildren Matthew (James), Kevin (Candace), Brett (Teneille), Stephen (Fabio), Jonathan and Sarah and her great-granddaughters, Natalie and Katelyn. Adelaide was born and raised in Winnipeg. She worked at the Clothing and Textiles Factory where she met Bill and they were married in 1948. They had two sons whom they were very proud of. Nothing made Adelaide happier than cooking for and looking after her family. She especially enjoyed her time with family and friends at Falcon Lake. Adelaide was a kind and gentle lady. She was a faithful wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. No one could have asked for more. We will miss her greatly. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 11:00 at St.Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood Rd. in Windsor Park. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cancer Care.
