JOYCE (JOY) ANN WITTS (nee BELLOFF) May 18, 1941 - June 2, 2015 After a hard fight with cancer, Joy has left to be with our Lord. Left to mourn Joy's passing are her husband, William (Bill) Witts; son, Tom DeRidder (Phyllis); daughters, Sandi Fleming and Deborah, (Dede) Haas (Kurt); grandchildren, Matthew DeRidder, Ryan Fleming and Kyle Fleming; very special niece, Dawn Cusack (Scott) of California; special great-nephews, Trent and Cole Cusack; as well as great-niece, Melissa Cusack. She also leaves her brother, Ronald Belloff (Marsha) of California and cousin, Lenore (Hollis) Maltzahn of Toronto, ON. She was predeceased by her father, Rhein Belloff in 1971; mother, Edith Belloff in 1998; son-in-law, Brian Sorensen in 2007; sister-in-law, Ann Belloff (Ron) in 2006; and nephew, Ernie Belloff in 1997. In early years Joy worked as a nurse's aide at Park Manor and at Holy Family Nursing Home. She also worked at Heritage Lodge Nursing Home for 18 years as the Medical Secretary. In 1987 she met Bill and in 1989 they were married. They enjoyed many years of fun and adventures, they went to California where they met their niece Dawn and her husband Scott and family, they immediately formed a bond that to this day has never broken. Each year they would get together at a predetermined place in the USA and make a reunion vacation for their time together. They also travelled to Toronto to meet cousin Lenore and her husband Hollis. Again it was many years since Joy had seen her cousin and that made for a great reunion as well. Joy and Bill's 25th wedding anniversary was the event of the year for Joy. She wanted this to be a party and it was. Bill and Joy always had their door open and always had great dinners and Joy was ever the great hostess. Never a shortage of food at her table and always travel packages when you left. Joy loved pets especially cats and they would always bring a smile to her face. She was blessed with many good friends, especially, Shirley and John Burton and Richard and Josie Musgrove. Joy worked with Shirley and Josie and after retirement they kept a special bond with each other. Marie Brickman was another very special friend that was always there to chat with and in earlier years have a good time with her and her husband Sam. For 20 years Joy and Bill lived at Marina Del Rey where they met and enjoyed the friendship of many wonderful people. And through the last months of Joy's sickness were always there with kind words and Prayers.
