JANE GOSTICK (nee PERNACK) Jane Gostick passed away peacefully on June 11, 2015 under the compassionate care of Golden Links Lodge. Jane's kind and gentle spirit will leave a lasting impression on those privileged to have known her. Predeceased by her husband Ray, of 60 years, she is survived by her daughter Jody (John), son Greg (Sue), grandsons Brett and Jeff (Maggie), great-grandson Raymond, and sister-in-law Joan Hanke. Children brought great joy to her life and her home was always open to the neighbourhood kids, where they could count on an abundance of her fresh baking. How she loved a house full of kids. Fiercely independent, she believed every woman should be capable of supporting herself. She loved her jobs at Cargill Grain and Parks Canada and made many friendships there that lasted well into her retirement. She was fortunate to travel North America extensively and enjoyed many warm winter vacations. Her kindness, generosity, perseverance, and the many sacrifices she made for her family will be long remembered. Special thanks to niece Barb Sliwiany. Your friendship was a great source of strength to Mom. Thanks also to those at Golden Links Lodge who helped care for Mom; may you all know your efforts matter deeply and your thoughtfulness is very much appreciated. We believe in angels because we see them every day at Golden Links. Cremation has taken place and at Jane's request no service will be planned.
