HENRY JONES 1915 - 1971 In loving memory of Henry (Harry) Jones who would have celebrated his 100th birthday today - June 17. Harry was born and raised in Transcona. He married Grace Phyllis Cable on March 7, 1942, and shortly thereafter they traveled east by train to Halifax where Dad served with the RCNVR during World War II. After the war Harry and Grace returned to Transcona where they remained for the rest of their lives. Harry was employed for many years with the CNR and was working as a production foreman when he passed on March 29, 1971 at the age of 55. Our father was a founding and life member of Transcona Pirates Community Club. He was also a gifted finishing carpenter. Those who knew Harry will remember his strong work ethic, analytical mind and sense of humor. Son Brian and daughter Lee remember Dad on this special day with love, pride and many fond memories. Forever in our hearts.
