CAROLINE DYCK
Born: Jul 24, 1936
Date of Passing: Jun 21, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCAROLINE DYCK (nee KITZAN) July 24, 1936 - June 21, 2015 Sadly on the first day of summer, her favourite season, Caroline passed away after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her only son Douglas Randolph (Randy); and her beloved daughter-in-law Janice. Also mourning are her sisters, Mary Taylor (John), Irene Farquhar (Murray), Kay Bruso and Linda Reimer, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Neil, her parents, and siblings Helen and David. Caroline was a self described people person. She made and kept friends so easily. She was there for our life events, the weddings, funerals, family gatherings, trips to the beach, lunches with the girls. In 1995 she suffered a cardiac arrest which left her with short term memory loss and robbed her of her valued independence. In spite of changed circumstances, she still made friends wherever she went, whether she remembered them or not. Her mainstay throughout the blessings and challenges of life was her love and faith in her Creator, Jehovah. It was her devoted spiritual routine of regular attendance at Christian meetings and participation in the ministry that helped her cope with her new reality. We long for the time when we will be able to walk into a room and hear that laugh once again. The family would like to thank all levels of Home Care, including the palliative team and the wonderful staff at the Maples Personal Care Home. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall on 937 Gateway Road.

Caroline and my mother were good friends from childhood. I got to know her later as we attended the same congregation. She was a delight to talk to. Always asked about how my parents were doing. She never once complained about her problems. She will be missed dearly. - Posted by: Bryan yablonski (friend) on: Jul 01, 2015
