LOUISE MARCELINE BOULANGER (nee AISAICAN) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear Mom, Granny / Far-Away Granny, Sister, Aunt, and Friend Louise Marceline Boulanger (nee Aisaican) on Saturday June 27, 2015. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Colleen (aka Sim), her son Mark and daughter-in-law Maxine, their father Machray; grandchildren Eldon (Marilyn), Stephanie (Dennis), Ryan, and Rhiannon; great-grandchildren Cameron and Madison; Jessica, Arantxa, Dennis Jr., Phoenix, Dillyn, and Darryl; her sisters Mindy, Patsy, Darlene, her brother Marvin; her long-time friend, Ness Beattie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba whom she all held dear to her heart. Our mom was predeceased by her mom Adele Aisaican; her dad Louis Lerat; her sisters Marie, Peggy, Cora, Noella, Penny; and her brother Eugene. Our mom was born on May 9, 1925, on the Cowessess First Nation, SK, where she was the eldest of 11 children. She stayed in Cowessess until adulthood, when she decided to follow her heart to Manitoba to settle and raise her family. During her youth, our mom enjoyed playing guitar, singing, and dancing. She also enjoyed going to bingo, watching square dancers and doing crossword puzzles. As an animal lover, she also had a special passion for cats. Later on in life, our mom's mind was as "sharp as a tack" and she always looked forward to a good Scrabble game with her loved ones. A woman of great humour and sharp wit, our mom always had a story or joke to share that would have everyone bursting with laughter. She had an immense spirit of generosity not only toward her family but to everyone that knew her. Our mom will be remembered for her extraordinary appeal of articulacy and was a woman who believed in carrying herself with an essence of class. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., at Christ the King Parish, 847 St. Mary's Road, Winnipeg. Interment will follow in the St. Vital Cemetery at 236 River Road. Luncheon immediately following interment in Lennox Hall, in the basement of Christ the King Parish. Peacefully sleeping, resting at last, the world's weary trouble and trials are past. In silence you suffered, in patience you bore, till God called you home to suffer no more. Mom, we are comforted knowing that you are set free . . . may you rest in peace, now in the arms of the angels. We will love you forever Mom.
