Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD BANNERMAN Peacefully on June 9, 2015, at Grace General Hospital, Donald Bannerman passed away at the age of 79 years. He was predeceased by his parents Donald and Ruth Bannerman. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Shirley, children Murray (Liz), Shelley (Glen), Brad (Lisa) and Wayne (Linda); grandchildren Dana, Lana, Alexa, G.T., Ryan, Christopher, Riley, Courtney and Hailey; three great-grandchildren and his sister Sharon (Lorence). Don settled in Winnipeg in 1960, and continued to reside there until his passing. Don was very active in the community, coaching minor hockey as well as baseball. He especially enjoyed coaching his own sons and watching them excel at each stage in their careers. Don was very proud of his children's and grandchildren's accomplishments. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, MB Division, Unit 1-452 Dovercourt Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3Y 1G4. A special thank you to the staff on the 3rd floor south and Dr. George for your compassionate care of Don during his final days with us. Thanks also to friends and neighbours for their love, support and prayers over these past few weeks. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.ca 204-885-9715
