Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY (JOAN) MCNICHOL September 2, 1928 - June 29, 2015 With great sadness we announce the passing of Joan McNichol at age 86. She passed away peacefully on June 29, 2015 at St Boniface Hospital with her husband Jack and her two sons, John (Tammy) and Jerald (Darlene) at her side. Joan is also survived by her two grandchildren, Trevor and Travis; and her six great grandchildren, Kohen, Broden, Ephrium, Logan, Conner, and Ben. Jack and Joan had just recently happily celebrated their 65th anniversary together. Her family was her great joy in life and her passing leaves a great void in our hearts. A private graveside ceremony will be held at Elmwood Cemetery. Goodbye my family, my life has passed. I loved you all to the very last, weep not for me, but courage take, always continue to love one another, for my sake. For those you love don't go away, they walk beside you every day.

We remember your wife, mom, grandma and great=grandma very dearly and are truly sorry for your loss. Our memories go back at least 45 years and are of a woman that gave her all to her family. She always treated us with kindness and hospitality........."come in, come in and sit." We hope that as you gather together and remember, the youngests' will hold onto the memories and stories they hear and will help them to feel Joans' love for them and in turn pass it down to their children and so on. xoxoxoxo - Posted by: Gerry and Eileen Tissot (Friends to Jerald and Darlene) on: Jul 06, 2015

Was glad to have known Joan a short while and enjoyed helping her out with her housework. We had many nice talks about Her garden and camping she enjoyed..I talked about my garden and she went into basement and gave me a jar of her climbing beans that I now have in my garden. A special lady that will for sure be missed! RIP - Posted by: Brenda Sigurdson (Freind) on: Jul 06, 2015

I have so many wonderful memories of Auntie Joan and our family get-togethers. I still remember the crazy paper hats we would wear at New Year's Day suppers and the money hidden in the Christmas pudding. Wonderful memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Hold her dear in your hearts forever. - Posted by: joanne kuypers (neice) on: Jul 05, 2015
