Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I first made contact with Grant in his capacity as a Lawyer for the company I worked for. He was personable and ebullient and impossible not to like. It was always an enjoyable visit to his office and often we would go for coffee and occasionally had lunch together. Through my contact he became a friend to my family. I visited him in hospital after his stroke and it was painful to see the ravages wrought in his physical appearance. But I was cheered by his positive attitude and his desire to rehabilitate. I moved away a few years ago but through my family would see him again on visits back to Winnipeg. I have many happy memories of Grant and am greatly saddened by his death. I now live in England and age and distance prevents me from attending the funeral but memories remain and will be cherished Rex. - Posted by: Rex Tarrant (Friend and business association.) on: Jul 07, 2015

  • Grant and I spent many hours fishing and partying together at the lake. He was a good neighbour and friend. Our condolences to Jillian and family. Bill and Margaret Elyk - Posted by: Bill Elyk (Friend) on: Jul 06, 2015

  • It was always a pleasure to meet with Grant in his capacity as our lawyer as well as visiting with him at social gatherings. We will miss him. George and Barbara Moody - Posted by: George D. Moody (friend) on: Jul 06, 2015

  • I enjoyed my time with Grant later in his life, and often felt like I was spending time with my own dad when we were together. His strong will and sense of humour often made me laugh, especially his colourful commentary that always added to whatever I was reading him aloud. Love to Barbara and Jill, thinking of you and wishing I was there for you now, and cheers to Grant from Iceland today, may he finally rest in peace. - Posted by: Carrie (Family friend ) on: Jul 05, 2015
