BEVERLEY ALBERT DILLABOUGH Beverley Albert Dillabough peacefully passed away on July 6, 2015 at the Victoria General Hospital, at the age of 75, as a result of Myelodysplasia Syndrome. Though born in Minnedosa, Manitoba on June 9, 1940, his family would move to Winnipeg, but Bev would always consider Minnedosa home. Considered to be an industrious kid, he could always find odd jobs to do from delivering groceries and newspapers to stripping down old washing machines for scrap metal to working in the mines at Elliot Lake, Ontario at the age of 16. In his lifetime Bev worked at Rosenblat Towing, Versatile, Delro and with Boeing until retirement. He was a true man's man. Beverley was predeceased by his parents Sidney and Margaret Dillabough and brother Leslie. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Victoria, son Sid (Janice), granddaughter Beth, his brother Billy, sisters Donna Mekar and Doreen (Metro) Yakiwchuk, aunties Marion McManus of Minnedosa and Irene Stapleton of Neepawa and all of his numerous nieces and nephews. Bev's family would like to thank Dr. Skrabak and all the staff at the Buhler Cancer Centre, as well as the staff on 5N at the Victoria General, in particular Ian and Albert for their compassion and care. Many thanks to Marlene and Robert for their assistance over this past year and to nephew Leonard Hrynyk for his chauffeur services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the Victoria General Hospital Foundation. He fought the good fight to the end. Give the gift of life - give blood. A morning to remember will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.ca 204-885-9715
