Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBLANCHE POWIS Blanche Powis passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and grandchildren on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. Blanche was born on December 16, 1918 to Edmund Breland and Emma (nee) D'Eschambault in St. Francois Xavier, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her siblings, George, Art, Alma, Henry and Angel. She is also predeceased by her grandson Todd (1972), her daughter Suzanne (1982), her daughter Lynn (1989), her husband Albert (2007) and her son Edward (2012). She is survived by her son Patrick Powis, daughter Georgeline and son-in-law Peter Lengyel, daughter Margaret and son-in-law David Booker and her grandchildren, Patricia, Patrick, Lisa, Camille, Jennifer, Steven Edward, Albert, Gordon, Sarah, Michael, Sebastian, Tara, Emily, Bianca, Daniel, Marcus and Aaron. Her great-grandchildren, Justin, Alex, Jamie, Nicole, Andrew, Kaitlyn, Amelie, Clara, Linda, Seth, Eddy, Amara and Elijah, as well as many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Catilina Camargo and Nita Catigan for their love and kindness. Many thanks to the kind staff and nurses who cared for Blanche at The Salvation Army, Meighen Manor, Cummer Lodge and Sunnybrook Hospital. A small graveside service is being held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Winnipeg on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice with special consideration to Meighen Manor. God Bless a great woman. May she rest in peace.
