Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH (KEN) NIELSEN On July 1, 2015, Kenneth B. Nielsen passed away at the age of 54 years. Ken was born October 23, 1960 in Winnipeg, MB. He is survived by his parents, Harry and Helen; brothers, Harry (Donna) and Al; sister, Cindy Shack (Bryan Doell); nieces and nephews, Carla, Kimberly, Mallory, Jamie, Matt, David and Alex; and one grand-niece, Avery. Ken graduated from Red River Community College with a diploma in Computer Science. His early career took him to Red Deer, AB and later he moved to Edmonton, where he resided for the last 28 years. He was active in sports such as slow pitch, curling, volleyball, skiing and pool, to name a few. Ken made friends wherever he went. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Memorial Service Thursday, July 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Ken's Life is being planned for his many friends in Edmonton on Saturday, September 12, starting at 5:30 p.m. at Avonair Curling Club, 10607 Princess Elizabeth Avenue, Edmonton, AB.
