MADISON CLAVEN-ENNS
Date of Passing: Jul 10, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMADISON CLAVEN-ENNS Peacefully, after a long and courageous battle with Aplastic Anemia, Madison was given her wings on July 10, 2015 at Health Sciences Centre Children's Hospital at the age of 17. She was predeceased by her Great-Grandma Slater, her cousin Connor, her Aunty Sherri, her Great-Granny and Great-Grampa Mark, and her Papa Claven. Left to lovingly remember Madison are her mom Stacy, dad Cameron, her daddy Johnny and brother Cédric (Elise and Océan). She will be sadly missed by her Nanny Claven, Nanny and Papa Enns and Grandma and Grandpa Kent and Great-Granny and Grandpa Beaudin. She is remembered by a large, loving family including her Uncle Dean and cousin Liam, her Aunty Sharrol and Uncle Bruce and cousin Blake (Michelle), her Uncle Bob and cousins Matt and Tasha, her Aunty Melanie and Uncle Johnny and cousins Mariah and Brayden. Madison is loved and missed by many friends, especially Rylee, Cole and Eric, and her best buddy Baily. In her short life, Madison had a strong impact on friends and family. She was known as a firecracker, who could talk anyone into anything, especially her parents and medical team who she honed this skill on in the past couple years when it came to tea, Sorry and impromptu prime rib dinners! Madison inspired us all with her firm belief that you could do anything if you set your mind to it and she proved it when she graduated with honours in spite of all the physical struggles she had to cope with. She never stopped believing in a better tomorrow filled with love, laughter and fulfillment of her dreams. She was brave, talented, beautiful, funny and determined. She enjoyed dancing, singing at the top of her lungs (when she thought we hadn't yet walked in the door), yoga, jumping on her trampoline and most of all, spending time with Baily. Madison was an earth angel, given to us for a short time to learn about unconditional love and the power of the heart. From the bottom of our hearts we thank Dr. Cuvelier, Dr. Wall, Dr. Doyle and Dr. Israels, who worked as team to provide Madison with the top medical interventions, and give her the best possible quality of life while she battled her illness. We are sincerely grateful for the expertise, love and support of nurses Jenny, Debbie, Shannon, Michelle, Cathy, Sarah, Ginette, Dana, Joanna (her favourite) and many others from CancerCare and CK-5 who became our extended family. Special thanks to Dawn, Child Life Specialist for helping us to cope and stay strong. We are so grateful for all of our CancerCare moms and dads who we have leaned on for support and shared our successes with, throughout the past couple years. We would like to thank the Ronald McDonald House and Family Room staff and volunteers for all their kindness and support and the comfort they afforded us to remain together as a family living in a hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Madison's name to CancerCare Pediatric Child Life Program. A celebration of her wonderful life will be held on Thursday, July 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul. Interment and Reception to follow. I can't believe it's been a year since you passed and I still can't believe you're gone. I think of you and your mom and dad daily, I see you playing with the pugs or the cats out in Neepawa, I see you skiing, and I see the triumph of your graduation. Your light will never be extinguished in the hearts of anyone who's life you touched. I am so glad I got to be a part of your life, and so grateful you shared your zest and exuberance with me. - Posted by: Derek Schmidt (Family Friend) on: Jul 08, 2016

I am so very sorry to hear of Madison's passing, I met Madison when I first moved to Winnipeg almost twelve years ago when I was in grade two and she was one of my closest friends throughout the six years that I lived in Winnipeg. Madison was such a wonderful girl; always happy and smiling, she always had a sparkle in her eye and know that Maddy is looking down at all of her loved ones from heaven and wishing the absolute best for all of you. I give my deepest condolences to the family, I know that Madison must be missed very deeply, but our loved ones are never truly taken from us, they stay right in our hearts where they belong. - Posted by: Taylor Cosman (Childhood friend) on: Jul 07, 2016

Stacy and family, I am so very saddened with this news. The death of a child is unnatural, unfair and tragic and shouldn't happen to anyone. I am so very very sorry for your unimaginable loss. She brightened so many on so many days. What a great kid. With many condolences to you and your family. Cameron, Stacy and family. I cannot believe it is almost a month since the passing of your angel here on earth. I am sorry for your loss. Just want you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers. I will always remember Madison dancing at Jenna's social. She never let her sickness stop her from living life to the fullest. Madison was a very amazing young woman. I am honored to make a donation in Madison's name to the cancer care pediatric child life program. I am so sorry for your loss, it was an absolute pleasure to get to know you, Stacy, and hear all about how amazing Maddy was. She made her goal of graduating and I was overjoyed to hear how proud you were. Maddy lived a life most people would be envious of despite her physical pain. I pray for you and your family to find peace during this difficult time. I will miss our chats dearly, but am happy that I got to be even a small part of your life and journey with Maddy. - Posted by: Michelle (Hospital Acquaintence ) on: Jul 19, 2015

I have know Madison since grade 6 and we became super close right away. I remember the first day we met in grade 6 and the trips we went on and our crazy moments. I still remember going shopping for 100 balloons then chasing after them down the sidewalk and filling the living room full of them. I will never forgot the day we both went to France together and had amazing time!!! I am so lucky I got to graduate with Madison ! Madison was very caring. I loved our jokes we made over dumb things. My deepest condolences to Madison's family. She has touched the hearts of so many people. - Posted by: Taylor Cook (Friend ) on: Jul 16, 2015

Ever since you had to leave school everyone wasn't the same. It used to be so loud and lively downstairs. I always remember when Mr. Weibe would come down the hallway and yell at all of us for being loud. You always knew how to brighten someone's day no matter what was happening. Even though we had our ups and downs I always cared about you as if you were my sister. I remember always finding it hard to stay mad at you because you would always flash your big bright smile. You have changed so many lives for the better. You were a huge part of my life that I will never forget. When my nanny was going through hard times before she passed you were there for me to talk to and for that I thank you. - Posted by: John Belanger (Friend) on: Jul 16, 2015

I remember coming to daycare at voyageur school when I was 6 and didn't have any friends. My first friends were two girls named Madison and Madison happened to be one of them. I felt better that I had something in common with someone at my new daycare, having the same name as someone was easy for me to remember their name. She was always such a great friend and we all loved having her around. im saddened to hear that a childhood friend is gone but I know that heaven gained another strong & beautiful angel. I'm deepest condolences to her family and loved ones. - Posted by: Madison Onagi (Grew up together in daycare) on: Jul 14, 2015
