RICK (RICHARD) DAVIS Rick (Richard) Davis, 71, suddenly and peacefully passed at his home in Winnipeg on July 6, 2015. Rick was born in Kansas City, Missouri, was raised in Houston, Texas and was a longtime resident of Portage la Prairie before moving to Winnipeg. Rick was predeceased by his father and mother, Edwin and Lois Davis and his wife Beverley. Rick is survived by his sisters, Patty McLain, Pamela Ratliff, and his children, Valarie Bakowski and Barry McLean. A short service will be held Thursday, July 16 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Highway. Viewing one half hour prior to service.

We have known Rick for many many years through boating. To us Rick was a. A gentle and quiet man who told us many interesting stories and vice versa. Rick wanted to join us in an excursion further north once he got the "21" in the shape he wanted. I hope he gets to make that trip now.
