Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBURNETTA LAWSON It is with great sadness that the family announce the death of our beloved Burnetta (Bunny) who went to be with our Lord on July 15, 2015. She leaves to mourn her passing and will be greatly missed by loving family, daughters Nola (George), and Coleen (Denzel); sons Dwyght (Esther), Ripton (Pauline), Nord, Melvin, Norman and Howard; many grand and great-grandchildren; brothers Jeremiah, John, and Boysie; sister Ethel; many nephews, nieces; other family members; her church family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Jeremiah Davy and Lurrine Williams. She was born on July 26, 1933 in Hanover, Jamaica and immigrated to Canada in 1969. Her earlier days she spent taking care of her family and worked at Municipal Hospital until her retirement. Bunny loved to travel to Jamaica where she spent most of the winter each year. The family would like to thank the staff, doctors and nurses at Health Sciences Centre and especially the Dialysis Department and all the caregivers at Park Manor Personal Care Home. Celebration of Burnetta's life will be held at Henderson Highway Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1314 Henderson Hwy. at 11:00 a.m. Viewing will be held prior to service at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2015. Interment will take place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550

I was like one of the kids she took in. A very special lady I learned so much about God from her. Her hospitality singing cooking community minded. She holds a special place in my memory.
