RUTH SHENBACK Peacefully on July 13, 2015, surrounded by her loving family, Ruth Shenback passed. Predeceased by her parents Fanny and Victor, the love of her life Jack, her dear son Mark, her sister Myrna Mitchell, her brother Albert Schultz, her niece Sharon Pollack and long time friend Marion Moglove. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Pam Braun and Elaine. Survived by sisters Sally Shuckett, Alice Halprin, Laurane Schultz and many loving nieces and nephews. Grandmother to Shonna (Ron) Pepper, Jeremy Braun, Michael Braun (Vanessa) and Brett (Meghann). Great-Grandmother to Brennan, Bailee, Jack, Sebastian and Lucas. Carried to rest by her grandsons Jeremy, Michael, Brett, Ron, Brennan and nephew Myron. Funeral services were held July 15 at the Rosh Pina Memorial Park, beautifully led by Cantor Tracy Kasner Greaves. Those who wish to remember her through an act of charity are invited to make a donation to an organization of their choice. Many thanks to the amazing staff at the Simkin Centre and the Victoria General Hospital and caregivers who provided support during her final days.

Hi Shonna and family, sorry to open the paper today to such sad news. I was grateful to have known Ruth and had the opportunity to visit with her recently with my cousin Tsiporah. I remember her telling me that she liked living in the block with my baba because she already knew her story. She just got it. I will miss her.
