PATRICIA EDNA MAY STEWART (nee SHEPHERD) June 2, 1935 - July 8, 2015 We would like to announce the sudden peaceful passing of our mother. She joined the love of her life Donald on Wednesday July 8, 2015. She will be sadly missed by her children, Laurie (Ken) Turner, Heather (Ken) Russell, Sandy Stewart; her grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan, Trevor, Connor, Garrett, Keenan, Reese, London; and her great-grandson Bentley. When in Mom's company, you couldn't help but be enveloped by her love of life. Some of her many passions included hunting, fishing, family holidays, entertaining, cards, bingo and the world stopped at 4:30 for (Y and R) Mom would like to thank her many friends for their unwavering love and support through the years, especially Lucille. Mom's message to us all would be, "Don't sweat the small stuff, live each day to fullest, dance like no one is watching and enjoy life's small pleasures." As per Mom's request, cremation has taken place. God looked around the garden, and found an empty space. He looked down upon the earth, and saw your tired face. He put His arms around you, and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful for He only takes the best. He knew that you were weary, and He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never be well on earth again. He saw the roads were getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb. So He closed your weary eyelids, and whispered peace be thine.

  • Heather, Sandy and Laurie, we are so very sorry to hear of your mom's passing. We have such great memories of your family especially when we would come to visit in Montreal. My parents especially enjoyed the card games, lawn darts and cocktails with your Mom and Dad and Auntie Lucille and Uncle Arnie. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. RIP Pat!! - Posted by: Laura Melnyk-Medven (longtime family friend) on: Jul 18, 2015
