SHANNON L. DRIEDGER, RN, BHSc(N) (nee VINCENT) It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Shannon Driedger of Winnipeg, MB on July 18, 2015, at the young age of 50. Shannon passed peacefully surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her father Jean Paul Vincent, she leaves behind her husband Brad, daughter Taylor, son Daman, grandson Isaak, mother Margaret (Peggy), sister Ann (Christine), brother Jean Guy (Kim), nephews Dylan, Camran, Wyatt, Zack, Aaron, Noah, Dustin (Julie), and Lee, nieces Abby and Jocelyn, father-in-law Harry (Cathy), brothers-in-law Terry (Patti), and Jeff (Candice), and extended family - aunts, uncles, and cousins. Shannon's extensive years of nursing included clinical, supervisory, education, and research experience in acute adult settings ranged from medical/surgery to specialized areas including emergency, intensive care, and oncology. Shannon possessed a strong commitment to continued professional development, involved with many committees, through mentoring new students, graduate nurses, new employees in the clinical area, and through continued education courses, inservices, and education programs. Shannon's personal mandate is the promotion of health, healing, and wholeness. In Shannon's 20 plus years of nursing, she was most fulfilled by providing personal care and compassion for many of her patients in their most meaningful moments. A special thank you for the support and compassion from our extended family of friends, co-workers and the incredible staff at Health Sciences Centre GA4 for taking great care of our Shannon. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, 2400 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB, Canada, R3J 0M8 with Msgr. Ward Jamieson presiding. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Siloam Mission, 300 Princess St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 1M3. God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change: Courage to change things I can: and Wisdom to know the difference. Shannon you will always be remembered for your beautiful smile, and your bubbly laughter and the way you have touched each one of our hearts and lives forever.
