GEORGE KOT January 6, 1933 - July 17, 2015 George Kot, peacefully on July 17, 2015, passed away at 82 years of age. He is survived by his son Jeffrey (Debbie), grandson Matthew and granddaughter Brianna, both of whom he greatly adored, and sister Pauline (Russ Arndt). He was predeceased by his wife Betty, brother Steve, sister Doris, father Alex, mother Anna, and uncle Fred. Cremation has already taken place. At his request, there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, CNIB, Heart and Stroke, or a charity of one's choice.

George Kot was a good friend to my 91 year-old father over many years. He often dropped by my father's home to play cribbage, to mow the lawn, to use his snowblower to remove snow and sometimes brought along his homemade cookies or muffins or vegetables from his garden. My father also used to walk over to George's home to challenge him to a game of cribbage. I am grateful for George's friendship to my father. George will be missed.
