Bev was predeceased by her husband John Eric Dalman and parents Jim and Marge McCallum. Beverly was a wonderfully loved mother to Chris Dalman (Shirley), Jean Dalman and Heather Tuba (Derek); grandmother to eight special grandchildren, Nicholas, Sara, Cameron, Laura, Juliette, Claire, Gaby and Annie and a cherished sister to Marnie Cooper (John Crawford) and their family. She is is also lovingly remembered by her dear in-laws, Linda Knight (Don), Johanne Benediktson (Brian), Lyall Dalman (Joanna) and their families. Born in Saskatoon, Bev later moved to Winnipeg with her family and attended Miles Mac Collegiate, the University of Winnipeg and the University of Manitoba. She taught in the River East School division at several schools during her more than 25 year career as an educator. She truly loved her career, the friends she made and the challenges and rewards achieved from teaching. Bev and Eric especially enjoyed their many years at the cottage in Shoal Lake, Ontario. Of great meaning was Bev and Eric's two years in Asia and time spent there with her niece Joelle and husband Jim Scott. Upon retirement, Bev and her friends enjoyed travelling together to Germany, Italy, Florida and trips across Canada visiting relatives. She also enjoyed special times in Churchill, Banff, Niagara Falls and Florida with her grandchildren. Bev wished all her travelling companions loads of love and happy times together. Bev's wish for her family: peace, happiness and love. Stay strong, together and in harmony. A service of remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 in the Knox United Church, 400 Edmonton Street, with the Rev. Bill Millar officiating. Parking is available at Portage Place Shopping Mall and surrounding area. Interment will be in St. Vital Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to thank the many relatives and friends for their prayers and support. We are truly grateful for the care and compassion from the WRHA palliative care team and especially Clinical Nurse Specialist, Lisa Streeter. My condolence on the passing of Beverly. I was on the same floor as she was on. The 5th floor at the Woman's Pavilion. I enjoyed the little time we had to get to know each other. My deepest sympathies. Rose Rauch - Posted by: Rose Rauch (friend) on: Jul 28, 2015

I am so sorry to hear of Bev's passing. I had the good fortune of knowing Bev as a fellow parent when our children were in school together, then as a colleague at two schools. She was an exceptional teacher who cared for her students without reservation, and was willing to fight for what was best for them. Though we didn't see each other often, when we did it was as though we had seen each other yesterday. I will miss her joy and her laughter. - Posted by: Brenda Wedlake (friend and colleague) on: Jul 27, 2015

We were saddened to see Bev's obituary in the Free Press. Our heartfelt condolences to your whole family. We met Bev at Shoal Lake. I, Bertha, also took exercies classes with Bev at Good Neighbours Senior Centre. Bev had all the qualities of being a 'great' and 'marvelous' person in every way. We are sure her family and former students remember her that way. She was always in good and cheerful spirits. We know that her immediate family will miss her dearly. Love and Prayers, Bertha & Lucien Charriere Her late husband, Eric, was just as great! - Posted by: Lucien & Bertha Charriere (Pat Younger's parents) (Friend) on: Jul 27, 2015
