CLARENCE MALCOLM GOLDING May 5, 1943 - July 13, 2015 Clarence peacefully passed away July 13, 2015 in the Nanaimo Palliative Care Unit on Vancouver Island. Clarence grew up in Transcona where the East End Skating Rink was a big part of his young life. He apprenticed to be an Electrician with the CN Railway at Symington Yard. Clarence and family moved to Thunder Bay, ON in 1972 and he retired in 1998 after 35 years of service. He was a quick wit, loved laughter, fun, a joke, pun, punch line and had a wealth of humorous sayings to draw upon, making him a joy to be around. Mechanically inclined, he could fix, build or renovate anything and loved the challenge of a project to use his considerable talents. After moving to Qualicum Beach, BC in 2005 in pursuit of a gentler climate, he enjoyed cooking, tennis, building and flying RC airplanes and renovation projects on his home. Clarence was predeceased by his parents Edward and Margaret Golding, siblings Albert, David, and Josie, son Kenneth, and granddaughter AJ (Araina Joyce). Survived by siblings Brian (Arlette), Nanaimo, BC, Robert (Jan), Winnipeg, Aldin, Nanaimo, BC; ex-spouse Araina Golding, Victoria, BC; children Doug (Heather), Fenwood, SK, Karen (Richard), Chilliwack, BC, daughter-in-law Korinne, Regina, SK, Don (Karmin), Sidney, BC, Scott (Barb), Quesnel, BC, Audrey (Jamie), St. Agathe, MB, and stepdaughter Kimberly, Thunder Bay, ON. He was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. As per his wishes, there will be no memorial service.
