I lived across from " momma" for several years and got to know her and her kids during that time. I just found out and want to offer belated condolences to her family, she was amazing with advice, friendship, faith and most of all laughs!! Never has anyone had such an open door and helping hand to everyone she met. She loved her family and friends with all her heart. Now she sits at Jesus' side in heaven blessing all the people she kept in her heart. What a loss to the world and a gain for Heaven. Glad I could bring you a piece of the Grand Canyon from my trip, it was nice to bring that piece off your bucket list, since you did so much for others. Inspirational!! Love you momma. - Posted by: Jessica (Friend and neighbor ) on: May 08, 2017

Elly - there are so many things I want to say but the most important is "Thank you". Thank you for being my friend through all the ups & downs (almost 30 years!). Thank you for loving my kidlets as much as you love your own. Thank you for all the times you helped me through the lean times (too many to count). Thank you for being a genuine light in my life and in so many others. We've talked, and laughed, and cried together so many times and I wouldn't have missed it for anything. You are such a loving soul, Elly and the world is a better place for having had you in it. I'm going to miss you every...damn...day until we meet again (and you know that we will). And when we do, we'll talk and laugh together once more. No one could be a better or more beloved friend and I love you to the moon & back, Elly. Hugs and love...always love, ~ Carol - Posted by: Carol Robinson (Dearly loved friend) on: Aug 06, 2015

Elly was a kind and generous lady ,put everybody first. I would often cook or bake for her and it was a treat. I always made too much. She will be missed dearly. Elly, you will be SO missed, you have been our encourager and cheerleader, admonisher and "joker", it never mattered how many times I moved, we always stayed close! You where a wonderful "auntie" to our children, never forgetting their birthdays, and always praying for us and them, and anyone else who needed prayer! I will miss you, but am so glad we will see you again in heaven, of this I have no doubt. You loved the Lord with all your heart and wanted to share God's love, no matter how much pain or discomfort you where in. You where always cheerful, and positive, such a blessing in our lives. We love you and will carry your memory till we meet again! - Posted by: Debbie and Gord Sonnichsen (best friends for years!) on: Aug 01, 2015

Very sad to hear of the loss of such a wonderful lady. Aunty Elly was one of a kind, so loving, kind & generous. These qualities were always present & genuine. We were blessed to spend many occasions with Aunty Elly & crew at the Oasis and will always cherish those memories. Sending hugs to Becky, Leona and the rest of the family. My deepest sympathies to you all. - Posted by: Spike and Brenda Arnal (Longtime friends) on: Aug 01, 2015
