DANNY RUSSELL MUMMERY It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Danny Mummery, on July 26, 2015, at the age of 68 years, at Riverview Healthcare Center. He fought a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer, with his friends and family by his side. He died with dignity and grace. Danny was predeceased by his loving wife of 43 years, Verna (2010). Also predeceased by his mother, Joyce. Left to cherish Danny's memory are his son Ron (Donna) and grandchild Rhonda; and daughter Shelley (Wendell) and grandchildren Michael and Lisa; father Wesley; brother Ross and sister Cathy; sister-in-law Diana (Murray Morosky). Also many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Danny worked as an electrician all of his life. He belonged to IBEW local 2085 for 45 years. Danny was a very focused, hardworking man. In his spare time he enjoyed working on vehicles, in particular his 1990 Ford F150. Even though his illness had progressed significantly, he finished his truck. The strength he showed is never to be forgotten. I would like to thank Riverview Healthcare Center for their extraordinary care. Also, thank you to all family and friends for their continued support. Thank you to Dr. Price for all of the care and respect you gave Danny. Respectfully, there will be no service. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Wheeler Funeral Home. If desired, donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Riverview Healthcare Center, or The Winnipeg Humane Society.
