Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I met Buzz decades ago when he was a communications consultant and I was a sales person working at Dave's Quick Print. He came to me with many questions and projects over the years. He was a genuinely nice, kind, gentle and soft spoken man. He treated you with respect and was very enjoyable to work with. He made a positive, lasting impression. Since I recently retired myself (2025), I was perusing through my contact cards and came across his. I thought I would look him up to see if he was still around but unfortunately I see he has been gone for 10 years. At only 70, he passed away far too soon. My condolences to the family. Buzz was a wonderful person and would probably remind you of your own father, uncle or grandfather to some. RIP Buzz, it was great to have crossed paths with you! - Posted by: Randy Premachuk (Supplier) on: Jul 10, 2025

  • I knew Lloyd when we were in high school together at Lafleche. The last time I saw him was in Regina right when he joined the Air Force and I was a 1st year university student. We had a special bond. He was a really nice guy, and had a positive and unique influence on me that's lasted these 52 years, even though we have not been in contact. He came from a family of really wonderful people. Like Lloyd, they all made their communities and the world a much better place for others because they were here, and they remain here in spirit and influence. drhall@yas.ca - Posted by: Denis Hall (Long-ago friend. ) on: Jan 04, 2016

  • I was so sorry to hear of Buzz's passing. It was such a pleasure to work with Buzz on the writing of the Lake Winnipeg Stewardship Board reports. I recall Buzz and I emailing each other late into the night working hard to meet deadlines. His professionalism and his great sense of humour always made the tasks at hand a little easier. I will miss him. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his family. He always spoke so highly and fondly of you all. Sharon - Posted by: Sharon Gurney (colleague) on: Aug 11, 2015

  • Buzz always warmly welcomed me into the house. I had many a wonderful meal at the Crooks family table. I always love sitting around the household with Buzz and the sound of curling or hockey playing in the family room. He will be dearly missed. - Posted by: Adam Florence (Son's friend) on: Aug 09, 2015
