J.M. WAYNE LAPIERRE We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of my husband and Shawn's father Wayne at the age of 69. Wayne was predeceased by his father Bert, brothers David and Christopher and sister Laurie. He is survived by his wife Gloria, son Shawn (Kristee), his mother Mary, his brothers Msgr. Michael, Paul (Pam) and Neil(Shelley), sister Barbara Anne (Ken) and numerous nieces and nephews. Wayne was born in Pembroke, Ontario. He grew up on the farm in Chapeau, Quebec. He worked for his father for a period of time and then made his way to the mine in Thompson, Manitoba, where he worked as a miner and later supervisor. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing and his winters spent in Mesa, Arizona. Wayne married Gloria Domanski on December 13, 1969 and in 1974 they had their son, Shawn. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Mary Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive, Winnipeg, Manitoba with Father Kevin Bettens and Msgr. Michael Lapierre presiding. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for their urgent care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundations, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3L 0K6.
