RON BODNER November 22, 1941 to August 9, 2015 It is with sadness that we announce Ronald Michael Bodner of Winnipeg, Manitoba passed away peacefully on August 9, 2015 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Ron was predeceased by his parents Peter and Marie Bodner and his first wife Cheryl (née Erickson). Ron is survived by his wife Gail, sister Janet (Ron Diakiw), sons Michael (Nicole), Glen (Erin), and grandchildren Dylan, Charlie and Stanley, as well as niece Kathryn (Mark), nephew Robert (Bonnie), and his beloved Bailey. Ron will be missed by his many cousins, in-laws, friends and relatives. Ron spent over 50 years working as a teacher in River East School Division and enjoyed traveling, photography and classic cars. Ron was a proud member of Kiwanis, Manitoba Pontiac Association, and PPOC. A service will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to CancerCare Manitoba in memorium. Ron, when you moved in across the street from me I immediately found you to be an interesting person with many good stories to tell. You were certainly an engaging and generous soul. After you and Gail moved away, I enjoyed it when you came back to visit me, showing your great appreciation for the sweets I put out for you.
