Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHEODORE DONALD ZAGOZEWSKI September 30, 1931 - August 11, 2015 It is with great sorrow that we say goodbye to a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather today at the Arborg and District Hospital. He is survived by his wife Eileen of 53 years and 10 months; his sons Sheldon (Kathy), Michael (Jacqueline), Daryl (Diane) and David; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; his brother Barry (Marlene); sister-in-laws Sylvia Zagozewski, Lesley Jackson and Alberta Myshrall (Glen) and brother-in-law Blair Fordyce. Predeceased by his sons George, James and Wesley; parents Mike and Helen; brothers Philip, Joseph and Alec; sister Josephine; sisters-in-law Joyce and Iris; brothers-in-law Ted Solmundson and Stuart Jackson; his parents-in-law Albert and Jean Fordyce; nephews Dean and Dwayne and nieces Colleen and Heather. Ted started to work as a shorehand on Lake Winnipeg for Svein Johannson at age 14. The next year he bought his own fishing outfit and later worked for Manitoba Telephone Systems. In 1957 he went fishing at Great Slave Lake with Gestur Gudmundson and then in the fall went to the Dew line. When he returned, he fished on Lake Winnipeg and the Icelandic River in the winter and spring. He then went to work with Monarch Construction as an operator and mechanic until the fall of 1968 when him and his brother Philip bought a Cat D7-17A from Monarch and started their own company P&T Const. LTD. building infrastructure in the Interlake and northern Manitoba. Many thanks to all the nursing staff and nurse's aides that cared for and kept Ted comfortable during his stay. Special thanks to Pat Barkman and Dr. I. Siddigui for all their help during this difficult time. A memorial service will be held on August 18, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Arborg Hall.
