Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRONALD ALLAN FARDOE January 5, 1928 - November 22, 2014 Ronald was predeceased by his wife, Violet; parents, Alice and Edwin; sisters, Margarette, Muriel, Edna, and Jeanette; brothers, Archie, Edwin and Clifford. He leaves to mourn his passing, sons, Rockley (Marilyn), Craig (Mary), Gordon (Susan); daughter Pamela (Victor); seven grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; brothers, Roy (Betty) and Robert; and sister Ruth Cook; sister-in-law Judy Gordon. Ron was raised on a dairy farm in Rosser (Prairie Rose Dairies). He met Violet Evans at a dance and they married on July 1, 1950, raising their family of four in Winnipeg. Ron began his work life at Alpha Manufacturing (later Joy Manufacturing) as a sheet metal worker and later, a draftsman. He worked briefly at the Municipal Hospitals and then went on to work at the Winnipeg Auditorium, where he became the Manager until it closed. He was next employed by Winnipeg Enterprises at the Winnipeg Arena and Stadium, until he moved over to the Playhouse Theatre as the Manager, retiring in 1985. After his retirement, Ron enjoyed visiting with his neighbours and walking and talking to people wherever he went. He loved to watch Question Period and enjoyed sending comments and suggestions to many MPs and Prime Ministers. He enjoyed spending time with his brothers and sisters and their families, and with his children and grandchildren, sharing stories and jokes. Ron spent the last years of his life living with his daughter, Pamela and her family, in Acapulco. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB.
