PATRICIA ANNE ANDER Patricia Anne Ander left us suddenly on Monday, August 10, 2015. She will be deeply missed by her parents, Harvey and Doreen Ander of The Pas, Manitoba; sister, Debbie Patenaude (Gordon); brother, Gary (Susie); nieces and nephews, Jocelyn (Dale), Darcy (Sarah), Benjamin and Jodie; great-nephews and nieces, Ethan, Alexa, Trinity and Daelynn; as well as her aunts and uncles, Rick and Joan Selch, Eileen Edkins, George and Alma Ander, Stewart Duncan and many cousins. Patricia was born on May 6, 1962 in Winnipeg and spent her early school years at Ellen Douglas School. At the age of 10, the family moved to The Pas, Manitoba and Pat continued her education at Opasquia and Scott Bateman Schools. Her yearning for independence started at a young age and when she was 16, she chose to move to Jamestown, North Dakota to continue her education for grades 9 and 10 at Ann Carlson School. Patricia moved back to Winnipeg and graduated from Grant Park High School in 1982. After graduation, she continued her life skills and moved into her own apartment at Ashbury Place, where she was able to live independently with the help of the Focus Group there. She was a great traveller and her favourite place was Hawaii with Disneyland in California second. The family would like to thank everyone who has supported Pat's independence and would like to invite them to share memories at her apartment, 1011-299 Queen Street on Saturday, August 22 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB in care of arrangements 204.897.4665. Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • My deepest condolence to Patti's family, I've know Patti since the early 90's and we worked together for over twelve years. She was the most easy going person to work with. There are many fond memories of her, Patti had a sweet tooth, her mom always had pastries stocked up in her freezer, going to red lobster for her birthdays, her shopping trips on Thursdays, I could go on and on. You will be missed. - Posted by: Bev Krasnowski (co-worker) on: Aug 24, 2015

  • Patricia was a inspiration of determination, even on the coldest days of winter she could be seen making her way to Polo Park mall. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Bill Mitchell (Friend & co worker) on: Aug 22, 2015
