ELAINE (LANNIE) DIANE HEDBERG February 18, 1941 August 10, 2015 With aching hearts, we announce Lannie's sudden passing. Her life was taken too soon, however we are comforted that she passed peacefully and without suffering. Lannie is survived by her husband and childhood sweetheart Robert (Bob), daughters Cathi (James) and Carin, brother Bill (Debbie) and family and her grandchildren Jarrod (Taylor), Cailah (Trevor), Courtney and Chaundra. Lannie will be remembered for her compassion for children and family through her volunteer work at Ronald MacDonald House, her love of animals and Trout Lake, her inability to say no to endless charities and her selfless and giving nature. We miss her and honour her as her spirit and memories live on in us. Family would like to extend their gratitude to the Victoria General Hospital Emergency and 2nd floor staff for their warmth and compassion during this difficult time. A memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Donations may be made in her memory to the Canadian Diabetes Assoc. or Ronald Macdonald House.
