Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY ALBERTA PESHKE (nee REED) Mary passed away on August 10, 2015, comforted by the warm and loving embrace of her family. Left to treasure precious memories, are Mary's devoted children, Lori (Lloyd), Darren (Laura) and Leslie (Bill), who take comfort in knowing that Mom is now with Dad and their sons Terry and Curtis, who passed before her. Mary was also predeceased by her sister Florence and will be missed by her surviving sisters Maxine (Wes) and Gladys (Sterling) of Winnipeg, MB. and Irene (Frank) of Rimby, AB. Gramma Peshke will be greatly missed and forever loved by her 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mary was born April 20, 1932 in Makinak, MB the second of five daughters. Growing up in a rural setting, Mary developed a strong, resilient character that would assist her throughout life. At the age of 17, Mary moved to Winnipeg and met her true love, Archie Peshke. Mary and Archie were wed in 1951 and eventually settled in their home on Royce Ave where they raised five children. After Archie's passing in 1982, Mary continued to demonstrate the same strength and resolve that allowed her to raise her big family, maintain her home and live independently until just recently. Mary had wonderful neighbours and we would like to thank them for their friendship, help and kindness over the years with special thanks to Bob and Lisa who were like family. Mary took great pride and pleasure in looking after her flowers and yard, and passed on her love and gift for gardening to her children. Mary's true passion and love was for her family, who she dedicated her life to. Mom's warm smiles and comforting hugs have filled us with a lifetime of memories, and although she is gone, we know that the porch light is on, the door is open, and coffee is ready anytime we want to go home. A memorial service in celebration of Mary's life will take place at Thomson "In the Park" (1291 McGillivray Blvd) on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 10:00 am.

My Mom, Winnie Peterson lived in the same House as Mary at Harmony Court. Up until my Mom's passing in March of 2014, Mary was so very nice and always sat with my Mom in the sunroom and chatted...Mary was so very friendly and always had a laugh or two for everyone. She often spoke of her house and her flower gardens. I will always remember Mary and her lovely long flowing locks.
