Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOREEN LOUISE MADDOCK It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful mom, gramma, and great-gramma on August 11, 2015. She was predeceased by our dad Bill Maddock in 1986 and by her partner Leonard Sadler in 2000. Doreen was born on August 20, 1939 in Cobourg, Ontario and moved to Manitoba in her early adult years. Mom was always very involved in our lives and never forgot a birthday or anniversary. She was the best mom and gramma ever! Doreen was strong, independent, smart, thoughtful, determined and honest. A kind, loving person with a gentle soul. During her retirement years, she especially enjoyed family gatherings, her time at the McPhillips Street "library", and the company of her loyal and beloved dog, Kayla. Mom will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters Cyndi (Wayne) Appleyard, Lori (Rick) Glucki and Lynn (Dennis) Pirie; son Bill (Nadine) Maddock; grandchildren Chad, Larisa (Craig), Melissa (Jeff), Bryan, Myles (Ashley), Chance; her precious great-grandchildren Jaelyn, Ella, Taylor, Kaelyn, Zavery, Mackenzie, Casey and Julian; special extended family Eugene, Desmond, Keedan and Brooke; brother Bill (Muriel), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all the people who were a part of mom's journey in her final months; the Palliative Care team - Sean and Michelle (mom's special nurses); CancerCare doctors and nurses; neighbours and friends who brought mom food, cards, and flowers; and special thanks to Evelyn who was so wonderful, taking Kayla for her daily walks. We appreciate you all. xoxo If one wishes, donations in mom's memory can be made to The Humane Society or CancerCare Manitoba. As per mom's request, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. Bardal Funeral Home and Crematorium 843 Sherbrook Street, 204-774-7474 Condolences: www.bardal.ca

I became friends with Bill when I had moved to Winnipeg from Edmonton. We became friends and he had introduced me to Doreen who shared a name with my grandmother. She was warm and welcoming. 🥰 - Posted by: Rena (Knew her son Bill) on: Aug 10, 2023
