Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRANDAL LESLIE HARPER October 17, 1956 - August 3, 2015 Unexpectedly, Randal peacefully passed away in Edmonton, AB. Randy was born in Selkirk, MB and moved to Winnipeg where he started carpentry and building at 15 years of age. He spent most of his years working in Alberta, BC and NWT. He was an accomplished carpenter and teacher with an amazing amount of building knowledge and was never afraid of challenges. He had a unique sense of humour and a fond taste for hero sandwiches. He is lovingly remembered by son Randal Leslie Harper Jr. (Terri); daughter Tiffany Freeman (Peter) and grandsons Elijah and Corbin, also daughter Karla Steinke (David) and grandson Dante; sisters Bernice Fontaine (Purvis) and Gail Dechateauvert; brother John Edward Harper (Kathy); auntie Olive Lillie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents John Robert and Lillian Joyce Harper. Randal's cremation took place on August 11, 2015, prior to his long journey home to his final resting place with his parents. Interment will be Saturday, August 22, at 11:00 a.m. at Robinson Spur Cemetery on Pike Road and Gimli Road, Matlock, MB, with Rev. Robin Mather officiating. Gathering and lunch to follow at Winnipeg Beach Picnic Shelter.
