MARIE ANGELINA MARTINE (née BOURGEOIS) Marie passed away peacefully on June 29, 2015 at the hospital in Saint-Georges, Quebec. She was 93 years old. Marie is survived by her five children, Lise, Armande (Nelle), Guy (Dianne), Luc (Monique) and Linda (Normand); seven grandchildren, Dominique, Philippe, Marie-France (Rémi), Nicole (David), Joel, Marianne (Danick), Carine (Jean-Victor) and Josée; and two great-grandchildren, Mia and Savio. She is also survived by her sister, Jeanne; brothers, Aimé and Gerry; and several sisters and brothers-in-law. She was predeceased by her sisters Augustine, Hélene, and Cecile and her brothers Euclide and Albert. She was also predeceased by her beloved husband Jean (John). Marie was born on March 11, 1922, in Bellegarde, Saskatchewan. Her early life was spent on her parent's farm. After high school, she studied to be a teacher in Forget, Saskatchewan and spent the next 15 years teaching. At age 34, Marie married Jean Martine. Marie left her teaching career to devote herself to helping Jean run the farm and raise their children. Marie and Jean spent much of their retirement in St. Pierre-Jolys, Manitoba, where they moved in 1981. After 12 years in St-Pierre, they moved back to Winnipeg. Sadly, Jean passed away in 1994. At the age of 85, Marie moved to Lac Etchemin, Quebec where she could be closer to the spiritual work she held close to her heart. A funeral Mass was held in Lac Etchemin, Quebec on July 4, 2015. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Norbert Roman Catholic Church, 80 St. Pierre Street followed by interment in the St. Norbert Parish Cemetery.
