  • It seems like just yesterday I came over to do your hair for Curtis's wedding, little did we know that would be our last shared moments in the place we both called home. Saying good bye to you that night is the last time we spoke face to face, I told you to get some rest and I would see you Thursday. Little did I know that on my way to work the next morning I would be in a car accident that would force me into labour and before I knew it I gave birth to my beautiful son. These past 2 weeks have been an unforgettable roller coaster of emotions from pure bliss to complete heartache. I've met the love of my life, my pride and joy and yet lost my best friend and mentor. You were such a beautiful person who many admired and looked up to. You taught me so many things over the past 25 years for which I will be forever grateful. You taught me how to love, how to forgive, the importance of independence and determination, and we both know where I learnt to be so stubborn, you taught me to treat others how you would like to be treated and most of all you taught me that no matter what family is family and you should always stick together. Because of you I aim to be the best mother, wife and friend I could possibly be and if one day I turnout to be half the women you were my life will be complete. My eyes still fill with tears as I'm sure they will for quite some time just as my heart has a hollow space that only you could fill. As sad as I am to see you go I'm happy you're no longer suffering and can finally, after 17 long years, be reunited with your one true love. Until we meet again grams. Love you to the moon and back XOXO I thought of you with love today but that is nothing new. I thought of you yesterday and days before that too. I think of you in silence as I often speak your name. all I have are memories and your picture in a frame. your memory is my keepsake with which ill never part. God has you in his keeping, I have you in my heart <3 - Posted by: Stephanie Reutlinger (Granddaughter) on: Aug 22, 2015
