GAIL KRAWCHUK, RN Gail passed away on March 4, 2015 at the Grace Hospital. She was born in Winnipeg on May 10, 1935 and moved to Sarnia, Ontario a few months later after the sudden passing of her father, Fred C. Gorrill. Gail returned to Winnipeg in the early 1960s to complete her education and became a Registered Nurse. A caring and competent nurse, Gail began her career at the St. Boniface General Hospital and then worked as Head of the Recovery Units at both Grace and Misericordia Hospitals. She retired from nursing in 1995. Gail married Orest on September 21, 1968 and together they shared a love of travel. Many cruises took them around the world, visiting six continents where they enjoyed numerous ports of call. She loved to cook, did daily crossword puzzles and enjoyed music, ballet and theatre. Gail was predeceased by her father Fred (1935) and her mother Eva (1988). She is survived by her husband Orest, sister-in-law Olga Fuga, nephew Dale (Cynthia), niece Lesley and other extended family in Southern Ontario and BC. Friends and family are invited to a graveside Celebration of Life on Wednesday, August 26 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Garden, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg.
