  • I will always credit Lois for kick-starting my career with the Royal Bank. We worked together at Osborne & Walker, and because we were such a great team, transferred together to Grant & Nathaniel. She was my hero, my beacon, my teacher and my guide. She was the most amazing woman, and for me (a very young woman just embarking on her career) she was someone I admired, looked up to and wished I could be some day. What a beautiful woman. I feel honored to have had her in my life, even if only for a short time. However, the influence she had on me will stay with me for the rest of my life, and has trickled down to all those I managed in the years that followed. Rest in peace, lovely lady. Jim, please accept my sincere condolences to you and your family. I can only imagine how lost you must be without Lois! Love and hugs...Terry Peterson (Kowalchuk) - Posted by: Terry Peterson (former co-worker) on: Aug 28, 2015

  • Lois, you were my boss at the Royal bank at Portage and Good branch in Winnipeg. I was a young teller in my early twenties and you were my hero. I learned a lot about life from you. You were always calm and just. You never got flustered or at least never appeared to be to the rest of us anyway. I loved your sense of humour and your love for your son Greg. You were my idol and I have tried to model myself as an older woman now after you, I hope I can influence even one young woman's life as you did mine...you were a woman of substance and I grieve your loss ...I will always think of you fondly with a smile. - Posted by: Arlene May (Former co worker) on: Aug 25, 2015

  • I worked with Lois many years ago at RBC Grant & Oxford. Lois was so calm and patient with everyone. I learned a lot from Lois and will remember her fondly. I wish to extend my sympathy to her family. - Posted by: Val Casavant (friend/former co-worker) on: Aug 25, 2015

  • I had the distinct pleasure of working with Lois in Winnipeg several years ago. She was such a gentle soul who cared so much for her clients and her staff. It was always such a pleasure to interact with her at various bank meetings and functions. My deepest condolences to Jim and family. - Posted by: Marcel Normandeau (Former RBC colleague) on: Aug 24, 2015
