Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVA ELIZABETH (BETH) MAHLBERG (nee WINTERS) September 29, 1929 - August 21, 2015 It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sistrer-in-law, aunt and friend. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband Manfred (Fred); sons David (Valerie) Keen and children Kara (Mitch) Cammidge, Aubrey Keen, Kathleen (Brad) Stobbs, Brian (Margaret) Keen and children Teresa (Jason) Peters, Paul (Diana) Keen; daughters Patricia (David) Snow and children Will (Jennifer) Snow, Scot (Monica) Snow, Brenda Smith (Richard) and family. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Howard (Frances) Winters, Audrey Thompson, Margaret (Reinhard) Duddek, Dayle (Willie) Moslenko, Clarke (Dawn) Winters, Gerald (Carolyn) Winters, sister-in-law Trudy Winters and their families. As well, sisters-in-law Henny (Kurt) Kupper, Valtraud Zoglauer, brother-in-law Willi Mahlberg and their families in Germany as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Iola and Clarke Winters, sister Shirley and brother John Winters. Beth was born in Winnipeg to Iola and Clarke Winters on September 29, 1929. She was the oldest of nine children. Beth and Fred enjoyed travelling, visiting many places like Europe, the U.S.A., Mexico and Cuba. After many years of working as cashier for Dominion Stores Beth retired and they moved to Minitonas. Ten years ago they moved back to Winnipeg and enjoyed life in the big city again. Beth was diagnosed with Alzhiemer Disease in 2009 and struggled with this for six years. She was cared for in their home by her loving husband until seven weeks prior to her death when she moved to Beacon Hill Lodge. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Beacon Hill Lodge for the care, compassion and dedication provided to Beth and her family. A memorial service will be held on September 26 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Beacon Hill Lodge or the Alzheimer Society.
