Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARLENE ANNE PHILLIPS (JEFFERY) It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Marlene Anne Phillips (Jeffery) on August 18, 2015 at Lake Of The Woods Hospital in Kenora, ON. Marlene was born on June 19, 1940 in Winnipeg, MB, where she lived until moving to Redditt, ON in 1986. Marlene worked as an administrator in the medical field for 30 plus years and also owned a ceramics business for many years. Marlene was very talented at many things. She loved creating things with needle point, paper toll, and ceramics and had a passion for quilting. One of Marlene's proudest accomplishments was getting her degree in Psychology at the age of 55. Family was very important to Marlene and she took great pride them. Marlene is survived by her husband Maurice, son Jeff (Julie), grandson Lee, granddaughter Amanda (Garrett), two great-grandsons, and sister Pat. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of 3 East for the care Marlene was given during her time at Lake Of The Woods Hospital. We would also like to thank the other professionals who have provided care to Marlene over the years. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Alcock Funeral Home in Keewatin. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Marlene can be made to the Saint Andrews United Church, Box 608, 211 Bay Street, Keewatin, ON, P0X 1C0. Wayne and I were very sorry to hear about Marlene. She was a very creative talented person. Her ceramics and quilts were beautiful. I took many ceramic classes from her and saw first hand what a creative person she was.
