ESTHER (ELAINE) HELEN ALBI (nee HOLUB) September 25, 1937 - August 12, 2015 Peacefully, with family and friends having surrounded her, Elaine passed away August 12, 2015 in the quiet hours of the early morning, the hours she loved best. Mom began life in Brandon, Manitoba and carried on her journey in Winnipeg, Victoria and St. Boniface General Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1958 where she enjoyed providing the urgent care needed in the emergency room with a calm and efficient proficiency. A quiet woman whose life's focus and triumph became her family, which she nurtured with all her being. Elaine was always gentle and caring to those in need. Her love of listening to music, gardening, and watching of blue jays, red robins, and the resident woodpecker in the backyard gave her delight throughout her life. A pet lover; she often had a loyal sheltie by her side throughout the day. Two of her favorite things to do were to carefully select the perfect gift for family and friends along with plan and create incredible feasts for family celebrations. Family and friends mourn her death that came too soon. Devoted wife to Frank of 53 years and loving mother to Frank, Carla and her predeceased daughter Gina. She was a loving granny to Frankie, Hannah, Lauren and Ashley. We thank our family and friends for lightening our burden with your kind words and gestures. We thank the compassionate, kind and caring staff at Unit 32, Foothills Hospital in Calgary. Funeral Mass will be celebrated St. Michael Catholic Church (800 - 85 St SW) on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. Julian Studden, Presider.
