Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY FRANCES CAMERON (nee STRACHAN) June 7, 1926 - Edmonton, AB September 1, 2015 - Calgary, AB Mary Cameron, beloved wife of Bill Cameron of Calgary, AB passed away on September 1, 2015 at the age of 89 years. Mary was born to William and Mary (nee Tucker) Strachan. She grew up in Edmonton and attended area schools. On July 3, 1948 she was united in marriage with William (Bill) Cameron in Edmonton. They settled in Winnipeg in 1970 and lived there for 44 years. In 2014 they sold their family home and moved to Calgary where Bill and Mary entered into Assisted Living to be closer to family. Besides her loving husband, Mary is survived by her sons, Robert (Bob) Cameron of DeBolt, AB, Brian (Margaret) Cameron of Halifax, NS and Bruce (Marva) Cameron of Calgary, AB; brother Robert (Joyce) Strachan of Medicine Hat, AB and her sister Betty (Ken) Jackson of Smith Falls, ON. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Thomas Cameron, Erin (Robert) Baker, Christopher (Brenna) Cameron, Claire Cameron, all of Calgary, AB; great-granddaughter, Macayla Baker of Calgary, AB and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary was predeceased by her parents, William and Mary Strachan; her sister Jeanne Williams and nephew Greg Williams. A celebration of Mary's life will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home (16204 Fort Rd. NW, Edmonton, AB), on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside service will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
