PETER PAUL KUZYK It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce the loss of a wonderful son, brother and uncle. On Wednesday, September 2, 2015 Peter Paul Kuzyk of Onanole, formerly of Winnipeg, MB passed away at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre in Dauphin, Manitoba with family at his side. He is survived by his mother Mary; sister Theresa; brothers David (Larissa), Robert (Dolly), Richard (Val) and Lesley (Angie), and many nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by his father Peter in July of 1984, and brother-in-law Don Boguski in July of 2015. Peter was born in Grandview, MB on April 20, 1949. His childhood was spent enjoying farm life with his siblings. Peter graduated with a Bachelor of Agriculture majoring in Statistics from the University of Manitoba in 1972 and had a 25 plus year career at the Canadian Grain Commission in Winnipeg as a statistician and manager. He was a favourite uncle of his many nieces and nephews, always making them feel special with unique gifts from his many tropical trips. He was a huge fan of the Rolling Stones and enjoyed travelling to see their concerts immensely with his brother Lesley. Peter enjoyed sports with special interests in football, hockey and curling. Gardening was another passion of his which he enjoyed sharing with others as he was a long time member of the St. Vital Agricultural Society in Winnipeg. He was in the process of pursuing his dream of building a hand peeled and carved log home in his beloved Clear Lake when unfortunately his time was cut short by cancer. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 7, 2015 at St. Elias Ukrainian Catholic Church in Grandview, MB with interment at St. Elias Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery at Grandview. The family wishes to thank Dr. Sara Scott and all of the nurses and staff at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Peter's memory to CancerCare Manitoba or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
