Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGUERITE POWELL Marguerite passed away peacefully on Monday, August 24, 2015 at Golden Links Lodge, at the age of 100. She was born in Winnipeg, growing up on Polson Avenue, and resided her entire life in Winnipeg. She married Ernest H. Powell in St. Johns Cathedral and they lived on Pinedale Avenue for many years. Marguerite was predeceased by her husband, Ernie; her brother Jack Cotton and her sister Elizabeth (Betty Smith). Marguerite is survived by her nephew Victor Smith, and her niece Diane Hanson (Smith), of BC. Also survived by her three Powell nieces. Catherine Ann Hastings, and Jane Hanson of BC, and Susan Nettinga of California. Marguerite was a caring and compassionate person, always there to help a friend or stranger with anything they needed. She had a great love of life and her faith. A private graveside service will be held at St. John's Cathedral at a later date.

MARGUERITE was a life long friend, and loved by all the Malby family, spending much of her summers at Laclu Ont. where she loved to be. She was always thought of as a member of the family, She will be deeply missed by all of us.
