ORPHA PILLOUD Quietly in her sleep, Orpha Pilloud passed away early Thursday morning, September 3, 2015 at Douglas Campbell Lodge, aged 93 years. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph; her parents, Lisgar and Louise Taylor; her brother David; sisters, Lloyda and Molly; granddaughter Jennifer. She is survived by her youngest sister Dorothy; her foster sons, Raymond Richard of Coldstream, BC, Marcel (Lydia/son Michael) Richard of Winnipeg, Albert St. Onge of Portage la Prairie; grandson-in-law Joenel, along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Orpha was a loving wife and caring mother who was always putting others ahead of herself. Born in Woodlands, Manitoba, Orpha lived most of her life in and around Portage la Prairie. On December 26, 1950, she married Joseph and became a farmer's wife. In July 1959, their family grew as they took in two foster sons, Raymond and Marcel. Eight years later they took in a third foster child Albert. Orpha loved her boys like they were her own. Orpha loved people and spent over 32 years teaching her neighbours the Bible as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She had strong faith in God's promise of a world free from pain, sickness and death. (Revelation 21:3,4). Where loved ones who have fallen asleep in death, will be resurrected and live forever on a paradise earth. (John 5:28, 29; Psalm 37:11, 29). The memorial service will be held Saturday, September 19, 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2360 Sissons Drive, Portage la Prairie, with Ron Philippot officiating. We would like to thank all the staff at Douglas Campbell Lodge for taking such good care of Orpha. She had nothing but good things to say about the care she was receiving. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 103 Wilkinson Crescent, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 1A7. Arrangements entrusted to RONALD MOFFIT MEMORIAL SERVICES.
