Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT JAMES MUIR January 11, 1963 It is with sadness that our family announce the passing of our loving son, Robert, on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Grace Hospital, at the age of 52 years. Left to forever cherish Robert's memory are his father Bill; stepmother Vera; brother Blair; sons Jordyn and Bradley; stepbrother Robert Mills and wife Sylvia of Montreal, Quebec; aunt Vona Cochrane of Brandon, Manitoba; uncle Howard and Louise Smith of Dugald, Manitoba; as well as numerous relatives; friends; and co-workers. He was predeceased by his mother Audrey on March 27, 2001. Robert was employed at Can-Par for many years. In compliance with Robert's wishes, no formal Funeral Service will be held. Our family wish to thank the doctors and nurses on third floor north Grace Hospital and CancerCare Manitoba for all their care and compassion. Farewell to one of my best childhood friends. I’ll always remember our many bicycle rides through St. James to Assiniboine Park and the airport, the way you taught me the proper way to use Tang juice crystals (eating the powder and not mixing with water). You got me hooked on the best rock bands, Van Halen, AC/DC, KISS, Led Zepplin. I can still picture you cruising around in your brand new white Mustang Ghia your then pride and joy. Many fond memories hanging out at the Muir household on Ericsson Bay. You were a great friend, generous person, hardworking and selfless. I’m sure your parents were very proud.
