WILLIAM (BILL) JOSEPH SCHOOFS November 21, 1938 - September 8, 2015 Peacefully, Dad passed away at home on September 8, 2015. Left to celebrate his life are his children, Micheal (Chantelle), Sandra (Derric) and Allison (Ernie); his stepchildren Marc (Kim), Darcelle (Mike), and his 10 beloved grandchildren Carrie, Courtney (Colin), Grayson, Aaron, Maelle, Gabrielle, Danielle, Noelle, Brett and Garrett. Dad will also be remembered by his siblings Lena, Toni (Peter), Cory, Anne (Ted), Louis (Anne) and Theresa (Bill). Dad is also survived by his in-laws Gertrude, Celine, Pauline, Fleurette (Oril), Emile (Teri), Monique, Julien and by many nieces and nephews. Dad was predeceased by his former wife Georgette, the mother of his children; by his second wife Gisele, and his siblings Toos (Herman), Drina (Louis) and John. Along with fishing and going for coffee, Dad loved to read and to talk about what he was reading. He was a bit of a philosopher. Dad believed that the world could not be changed single-handedly, but if we each do our part we can make a difference. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. A memorial luncheon will be held in honour of Bill's life at Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day Street, Winnipeg from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, September 20.
