LENA BATENCHUK 1915 - 2015 Always Remembered, Never Forgotten With great sadness, the family wishes to announce the passing of Mom on Monday, September 7, 2015. Mom had 99 years of loving life. Mom was predeceased by her husband Joseph and son Roy. Left to mourn Mom's passing are Cliff, Ray (Fran), Ken (Lynn), Bill (Hazel) and Don (Pat). Mom was born on the farm in Stuartburn, MB. Mom moved to Winnipeg where she met Dad and they married. They had six sons. They were the love of her life. Mom loved life. She enjoyed being outside in her garden and greatly enjoyed all her flowers. Mom loved all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All too numerous to mention. Services will be held on Monday, September 14, 2015 at St. Vital Parish Church on Pembina Hwy. Viewing will begin at 12:30 p.m. with service at 1:00 p.m. Father Barry Schoonbaret presiding. Interment to follow immediately afterwards at Thomson "In the Park" Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Pallbearers will be Mom's sons and grandsons Barret. Honorary Pallbearer will be her son Cliff. The family wishes to thank the nurses and aides of unit 3 at Charleswood Care Centre.
