I will forever remember Mrs. MacDonald's intoxicating baking. The envy penetrated down to my bones every March when she made her famous Black Forest cake for her daughter's birthday. Tanis was always quick to share a piece with me - part generosity, part boasting - and the memory of its taste stayed with me for days afterwards. From her shortbread cookies every Christmas to her popcorn balls on Halloween, Norma reigned supreme. Mrs. MacDonald will remain a part of many fond childhood memories. - Posted by: Erin Noble (Former Neighbor) on: Sep 13, 2015

Norma had an awesome and sometimes mischievous sense of humour. She shared many laughs with our family. I will greatly miss her ever present warmth, laughter, and the twinkle in her eye. My deepest sympathy to all of Norma's family and friends. - Posted by: Liz Rowley (Friend) on: Sep 12, 2015

I remember Norma for her hospitality and thoughtfulness. She hosted me and my children - Sean (then 2, now 21) and Michaela (then 6, now 25) when we were visiting Winnipeg and was so generous, understanding and thoughtful - anticipating the needs of the children and making us feel so comfortable. She exuded a zest for life, commitment to her community, practical creativity, care for the less privileged, devotion to her family and a love of children. I know she loved her daughter, my dear friend Tanis, so much and was immensely proud of both her impressive accomplishments and, more importantly, of the principled, generous and courageous person she was and is. With deepest condolences on the loss of your wonderful mother, aunt, sister and friend. - Posted by: Tamara Elliott (friend) on: Sep 12, 2015
