MURRAY FRANCIS LEDD (LEDUCHOWSKI) Peacefully after a valiant battle with cancer Murray passed away on September 3, 2015. He is survived by his three children, daughter Lisa Lachance (Cory); son Ryan (Tara); daughter Carly (Adam) and his granddaughters. Along with sister Sharon Champange; mother Ruth; brothers, Brian and Ken; sister-in-laws Margaret and Rene; many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his father William, and brothers Wayne and Norman. Merc as he was know back in the day blazed a trail of adventures through The North End, Grand Beach, The Black Knight, Detroit Lakes, Northland Trailer Park, Edmonton and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. He could be heard sharing stories, a laugh and a beer with everyone. He enjoyed the outdoors, and gatherings with family and friends. As per Murray's request there will be no service. A private interment will be held by his children at a later date. If I leave here tomorrow Would you still remember me? For I must be traveling on now 'Cause there's too many places I've got to see. Because if I stayed here with you guys, Things just couldn't be the same. 'Cause I'm as free as a bird now, And this bird you'll never change. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton for their most amazing and compassionate care of our father.

  • Condolences to the entire family. Murray was truly a "free spirit". He is now reunited with his old time friend Gerry (Gilarski) in their next life and what a reunion that will be; life's paths took them down different roads for far too long. Remembering back to early '70's when Murray lived with Gerry at Granny's in Wpg's North End and the trails they used to blaze together, his marriage to Wendy and the birth of his first baby girl.
